About ICTV Rules & Operating Procedures (word doc)When you want to know about your community, there is only one local option on television for you. . .ICTV, Itasca Community Television, Inc. A non-profit corporation, ICTV provides public, education and government access programming about Minnesota’s Itasca County and a bit beyond. The ICTV staff works hard to provide exhaustive uncut government coverage, (live and replayed), local entertainment and education . Plus, as the public, education and government access conduit, ICTV accepts and schedules locally created productions for air time on the three access channels. ICTV rents space from the school district and maintains a full studio and editing facility within the Reif Performing Arts complex adjacent to Grand Rapids High School. As a public access station, the staff is continually reaching out with the help of volunteers to create programming of interest. ICTV is funded primary through four sources—city/township franchise fees from television cable providers, grants (with major support of the Blandin Foundation) , member support and individual and corporate underwriting. The staff includes an executive director, operations
manager, administrative assistant and three video producers. Volunteers provide a wealth of Mediacom Communications Channels 2, 5, & 7(Nashwauk/Keewatin Channel 7)Paul Bunyan Telephone Cooperative Channels 32, 35 &37 |
