Each Wednesday at 5:30 pm and Saturday at 3:00pm, ICTV plays programs from the archives on the Public Access Channel. Coming up on Saturday, October 6, we will be replaying two Grand Rapids Area Library Programs: “Lost Towns of Minnesota,” followed by, “Lost Towns of Northern Minnesota.” The following week, October 10 and October 13, will feature the Grand Rapids Players production of, “Zombie Prom.” Keep an eye on ICTV’s schedule to see what’s coming out of the archive next.

Artificial Intelligence Meets Medicine

The latest presentation in Grand Itasca’s “Doc Talk” series took place on Tuesday, September 18 at the Itasca County Family YMCA. The presenter was Dr. Scott Johnson, OB/Gyn. He gave a presentation on the future of technology in medicine, including the use of artificial intelligence. During his presentation he discussed: some of the definitions involved with technology, information management, robotic surgery, artificial intelligence, and both what’s exciting and concerning about these technologies. ICTV staff was in the audience to record this presentation.

Journey to South America

On September 6, Cathy Davies was the featured presenter at the Grand Rapids Area Library. She was there to talk about her trip to South America. During her presentation she showed lots of pictures, shared interesting facts about the places she visited, and sprinkled in some stories unique to her trip. ICTV staff was in the audience to record her talk, and you can see it on ICTV’s Public Access Channel on: Saturday, September 15 at 7:30pm; Sunday, September 16 at 4:30pm; Wednesday, September 19 at 10:30pm; and Friday, September 21 at 5:30pm.
