Each Wednesday at 5:30 pm and Saturday at 3:00pm, ICTV plays programs from the archives on the Public Access Channel. Coming up on Saturday, September 8, we will be replaying two Grand Rapids Area Library Programs: “Farm to Fork,” followed by, “Kids Got Clutter.” The following week, September 12 and September 15, will feature the Grand Rapids Area Library Program: “Never Too Late to Read,” followed by, “Why Treaties Matter.” Keep an eye on ICTV’s schedule to see what’s coming out of the archive next.

When Less is More in Medicine

The latest presentation in Grand Itasca’s “Doc Talk” series took place on Tuesday, August 21 at the Itasca County Family YMCA. The presenter was Dr. Dan Soular, Family Medicine Physician. He gave a presentation on Choosing Wisely, an initiative meant to encourage conversations between physicians and patients, and engage patients in their health care decisions. During his presentation he: introduced the campaign, gave some reasons behind the effort, and reviewed a variety of recommendations that it has brought about. ICTV staff was in the audience to record this presentation.

One Man Band

All summer long, ICTV will be airing the 2018 Summer Concert Series on its Public Access Channels. This week’s concert is, “Rod Cerar: The One Man Band”. Performed at Assemblies of God Church, this concert features classical pieces, pop hits along with some polka favorites performed on accordion by Rod Cerrar. The 2018 Summer Concert Series airs every Friday at 7PM. Be sure to check ICTV’s schedule for more air dates and times in the future as well as other concerts featured throughout the summer.
