On Tuesday, October 22, a special art event was held at the Reif Center. Artist Mary Corwin was showing her exhibit titled, “Barnabas 22.” The title is a reference to the bible character Barnabas, whose name means son of encouragement, and the 22 is the number of veterans who commit suicide each day. The art in the exhibit was renderings of service dogs belonging to veterans, which help them through their daily lives. The event also featured special guest Roberto Oviedo, a New York City Detective whose service dog was one of those featured.
